Flash Element TD, I have managed to complete all 39 Levels and have a high score of 275,766, I have included my game walk through guide below with screenshots. But before viewing the guide, have a shot yourself and see what score you can muster. [Or return to homepage]
 
The aim of the game is to kill the creeps before they reach the end of the maze, do this by building attacking towers on the grass around the maze. To build towers first click on the one you want to build on the right, then click on the map where you want it to be built. Once built you can click on them to upgrade or sell.
 
To build "Elemental Towers" you must first research the 3 elements. Research costs wood. You are given 1 wood every 7 levels. Once researched you can build as many "Elemental Towers" of the type you have researched as you can afford. The combo tower is only available if you have researched all 3 elements.

The Aim of the Game  [Bookmark this Guide!]
 
The aim of the game is to kill the creeps before they reach the end of the maze, do this by building attacking towers on the grass around the maze. To build towers first click on the one you want to build on the right, then click on the map where you want it to be built. Once built you can click on them to upgrade or sell.

At the start of the game the only towers you can build are the "Basic Towers". These include the Arrow, Cannon and Air towers. The Arrow tower is a good all-rounder as it will shoot at both air and ground based creeps. It can hit one target at a time. The cannon tower does "splash damage" this means that its shot will do damage to all creeps around the target as well as the target itself. The only problem is the cannon does not fire at air creeps. The air tower is just that, it only attacks air creeps, use this if you are having problems with the air levels.

To build "Elemental Towers" you must first research the 3 elements. Research costs wood. You are given 1 wood every 7 levels. Once researched you can build as many "Elemental Towers" of the type you have researched as you can afford. The combo tower is only available if you have researched all 3 elements.

To get a high score, try and keep as much of your gold in the bank as possible because at the end of each round you earn interest on the gold in the bank. You can use your wood to increase your interest rate.

Special levels include FAST [6, 13, 19, 26, 32] AIR [8, 17, 27] IMMUNE [10, 21, 32] and BOSS [11, 22, 33] You get wood every 7 levels use wood to research upgrades.

Game Playing Tips  [Bookmark this Guide!]

Tips:
1. Even with the same tower placement you can get different results each game, so use my scores and gold in the walk through game guide as reference only.
2. The efficiency in the early levels is crucial to scoring high. (the score depends on money, money depend on efficiency and rises exponentially)
3. There are some extra-tough levels (fast, boss) where buying extra towers just for the level and selling them before the level ends is a good idea.
4. You have 20 lives which don't generate cash. Cash generates Cash. You can convert some of the lives to cash by delaying tower upgrades, losing lives in the later round 35+ actually helps increase your score, as the interest gained in saving buying towers outweighs the cost of losing a life.

R (Arrow) 7g, 13g, 32g (max cost 52g)
C (Cannon) 9g, 15g, 26g (max cost 50g)
A (Air) 12g, 20g, 30g (max cost 62g)

C means Cannon Tower, C+ means Cannon Tower upgraded once and C++ means Cannon Tower upgraded twice.
R means Arrow Tower, R+ means Arrow Tower upgraded once and R++ means Arrow Tower upgraded twice.
A means Air Tower, A+ means Air Tower upgraded once and A++ means Air Tower upgraded twice.
 
Comments

  • Level 07: This level is frustrating, you can sometimes easily destroy all creeps with 1C++ and 1R, then there's times you're nowhere near and 2 escape. (At the end of the level, upgrade interest by 5%)
  • Level 08: Before end of level, sell 3 x AIR and let remaining ARROW tower finish it off.
  • Level 11: Once Critter has passed, sell all arrow towers, before end of level.
  • Level 14: At the end of the level, upgrade interest by 5%. Tip: If you have lost any lives upto this point, restart the game, its not taken long to get this far, and the money saved is crucial. (losing lives later on the game is acceptable though)
  • Level 17: Before end of level, sell 4 x AIR, then once complete sell, the remaining top right AIR
  • Level 19: Before end of level sell 1 x lower cannon.
  • Level 21: At the end of the level, upgrade interest by 5%.
  • Level 22: Creep will go around twice, expect to lose one life, then sell ARROW towers, It is not worth it to kill it in one pass.
  • Level 26: Before end of level sell lower 2 cannons, then once level complete sell everything.
  • Level 27: End of level sell everything.
  • Level 28: At the end of the level, upgrade interest by 5%.
  • Level 33: Creep will go around three times, expect to lose two life's, It is not worth it to kill it in one pass.
  • Level 35: At the end of the level, upgrade interest by 5%. I have played this level so many times and 64C++ is enough to get by, but for this walkthrough, typical I lost one life, so your scores and gold should be better from here on in.
  • Level 37: Lost one life here, if you build another 5C++, this could of been prevented, but for the sake of saving 20g and a life, its not worth it.
  • Level 38: 180C++ cannon towers, you will lose 12 lives.
  • Level 39: No more building by me, just buy lives until end (59 lives in my case)

Build 3 x  Level I Air Towers. The trick to this level is to sell the 3 Air Towers before the end and allow the remaining arrow tower to finish the level off. I do this by, allowing the creeps to pass around the main circle, once there is 3 creeps left, I sell one Air tower (far left), then when 2 creeps left, I sell the second tower (middle). The third tower I sell, when the last creep is one shot away from being dead, then let the arrow tower kill it off. Very tricky, but the gold you earn for this is worth it.

Overlapping is tricky, sometimes the game will not let you place an overlapped tower where you like, move it around until you find the spot you require. (See map).

The last tower, once the level is complete, sell.

Now build one level one arrow tower in the middle of the field, two level II arrow towers to the top left of the screen and three arrow III towers along the centre bottom. The Creep will go around twice, expect to lose one life, then sell ARROW towers, once the creep is on the outside right track, passed the range of the final arrow tower. It is not worth it to kill it in one pass.

Upgrade the level I Cannon Tower to a level III and build another ten level III Cannon Towers in the top right corner, overlapping from here on is essential, all Cannon Towers need to be tightly packed, as you will need to place 180 plus Cannon Towers in the later stages.

This is the final Boss level, a tough one. Build two more level III Cannon Towers in the top right corner. Creep will go around three times, expect to lose two life's, It is not worth it to kill it in one pass.

The decision, There's a lot of talk in the forum about this level, do you build 35C++ Cannon Towers plus 7A++ ARROW Towers can kill it in 2 sweeps, or just build 35C++ Cannon Towers and kill it in 3 sweeps?.

I finished the last level with 37,681 gold. Interest is at 30%.
 
Choice (1) build another 4 C++ at a cost of 200g, gold total now 37,481, I will lose 200g as the creep will pass 3 times.
Gold now 37,281, I will finish this level with 37,381 (100g for killing the creep) x 30%
 
Choice (2) build another 4 C++ at a cost of 200g (37481) + 7A++ (364g) = Starting gold 37,117, the creep will leak once, therefore I will finish the level with 37,107 x 30%.
 
Option One wins it for me.

Build another twenty two level III Cannon Towers top right. Completes the level with ease, if you can get all the towers in the top right and down the right hand side, don't go too low down the right when building, as this will cause creeps to leak. If you are out of room, build 2 more cannon towers just in case. 
 
I have played this level so many times and 64C++ is enough to get by, but for this walkthrough guide and screenshots, I typically lost one life, so your scores and gold should be better from here on in.
Note: End of the level, upgrade interest to 35%, or select FIRE Upgrade and follow the Fire Towers guide above. Score wise, go with Cannon Towers, there's not much in it, but for time sake, go with Fire.

Build another four level IV Fire Towers next to the three in the top right corner. 16 level IV Fire Towers is more than enough, maybe next time around I will try it with 15 towers instead.

Completed the game with a Final Score of: 233,516, as it can be seen from the mistakes I made above, and on the previous 35 levels, this score can be hammered.
 
Can you better the guide shown above, if so, please post your changes at Novel Concepts Element TD Forum Board or email Stuart here. We know that levels 06 etc can be done with just one C++, but this improvement does not always work. We require improvements that work each time, with no lag, or other cheats. We need to know, which level you done differently and what weaponry, if we agree with your change, we will submit it here and award you for the change. (i.e. Level 29, used 2C++, 1C instead of 2C++, 1C+, include screenshot of position if possible)

Monsters enter the maze on the left and right of the screen, they will do so in groups of 30 (15 each side) every few seconds. The number of monsters that are walking / flying around the maze at any one time must be kept down below the maximum capacity of the maze (100 on Medium, 80 on Hard)
